Thermal Junior Suite
Thermal Junior Suite takes its name from its surroundings and its view. Enjoy the view from floor to ceiling window across a lava field, the dormant volcano Mt. Hengill and Nesjavellir Geothermal Energy supplier.
The nearby Nesjavellir Geothermal Power Station supplies Reykjavik and surroundings with geothermal heating . Nesjavellir area is a water protected area that has abundant of hot water due to the energy produced from the dormant volcano Mt. Hengill which sits next to the hotel. The water is pumped straight up from the ground and sent through pipes to Reykjavík. The water steam is utilized to generate electricity thus making the plant 100% green and sustainable.
The junior suite is 37 fm2 and has a king bed, sofa bed, and a Nespresso coffee machine. The bed is hypoallergenic and supremely comfortable. Free WiFi is included both inside the rooms and in public areas. The suite has fair-trade organic linens and a large bathroom with a powerful environmentally friendly shower and the following soaps and lotions from Sóley Organics.
Varmi shampoo
Gently cleanses and nourishes hair in need of reviving. This natural shampoo with hand-picked wild Icelandic herbs prevents dried out hair and scalp while protecting and strenghtening.
Varmi conditioner
Nourishes, softens and protects. This reconstructive hair treatment infuses hair with moisture, leaving hair healthier, stronger and more manageable.
Lóa handsoap
A gently cleaning fragrant soap containing a blend of powerful Icelandic healing herbs to protect hands from the cold and dryness of winter.
Varmi shower gel
Gently cleanses and nourishes skin. This natural shower gel prevents dry skin while soothing the senses. Contains a blend of hand-picked wild Icelandic herbs from the small village Laugarvatn in the south of Iceland.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Our cancellation policy is as follows:
All reservation cancellations must be written and sent to reservations@ioniceland.is
All activity & tour cancellations must be written and sent to ionadventures@ioniceland.is
Individual bookings: Cancellations must be reported no later than two weeks prior to guest’s arrival date. Any cancellations made later than two weeks prior to guest’s arrival date are obliged to pay 100% of the booking fee. If the guest does not warn us about the cancellation of the booking they made, we charge full price of the room rates.
Group cancellations: Cancellations for a full group must be reported no later than eight weeks prior to guest’s arrival date, unless otherwise agreed upon. Any cancellations made less than eight weeks prior to guest’s arrival date will oblige the agency to pay 50% of the cancelled rooms. Any cancellations made less than four weeks prior to group’s arrival date will oblige the agency to pay 100% of the cancelled rooms. Cancellations for rooms within a confirmed group must be reported no later than four weeks prior to group arrival date. Any cancellations made less than four weeks prior to groups arrival date will oblige the agency to pay 100% of the guests booking.
Tour & activity bookings: ION Adventure Hotel highly recommends that all tours and activities are booked in advance due to the high demand. All tour requests should be sent via email within 72 hours in advance.
For any cancellations, we require it to be written and sent to us via email within 72 hours prior to tour´s actual date. Please note that, any cancellation sent within 72 hours will be submitted to pay full price of the reservation. In case a cancellation on our behalf happens, e.g.: due to weather or other unforeseeable reasons, we will notify the customer via email or by the contact details as provided when booking. We will firstly offer a modification of dates, otherwise, full cancellation of the booking.
ION Adventure Hotel shall not be responsible for any loss or damage which guests may suffer arising out of events beyond its control or the control of its suppliers (including, without limitation, fire, failure of electrical, gas or other power supplies, strikes, industrial action, terrorist activity, technical problems with transport, or bad weather).
ION Adventure Hotel is a non-smoking hotel and the fine for smoking in our rooms is 25,000 ISK.
